JA PreventNCD - General Assembly in Rome, 9-11 June - Data Management Board

In connection with the General Assembly for PreventNCD on 9-11 June, the Data Management Board gathered for a joint workshop with the purpose of creating an improved overview, finding synergies and strengthening cooperation across the project.

Bringing together 25 nations in a joint effort to prevent non-communicable diseases such as cancer, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases is a substantial project. The task of maintaining an overview becomes essential. With as many as 365 activities, there is plenty to keep track of.

Developing the Synergy Scope

Emilie Ebdrup Steenberg-Hansen and Frederikke Kold, Project Assistants at the Health Innovation Centre of Southern Denmark, facilitated the workshop, where the board worked on further developing the Synergy Scope. In short, the Synergy Scope is a Power BI report that provides an overview of all activities and supports knowledge sharing in PreventNCD.

The Data Management Board consists of a representative from each work package in JA PreventNCD. At this workshop, a small but efficient group of seven participants took part. The day began with a brainstorming session to generate and prioritise new ideas and suggestions. Afterwards, the board decided which ideas to move forward with.

 - It was a successful workshop with lots of energy, commitment and good discussions. We left with a long list full of valuable input and a clear sense that we are bringing important perspectives with us into the continued work of developing the Synergy Scope, states Frederikke Kold.
