eCAN Plus Joint Action - First milestone achieved in Work Package 6

We are proud to share that the team from the Region of Southern Denmark / Region Syddanmark, together with our European partners in Work Package 6 of the eCAN Plus project, has successfully completed the first major mapping activities of the project.

First major mapping activities of the project

This milestone includes:

  • A comprehensive survey assessing the digital readiness of eCAN Plus Cancer Centres across Europe.
  • An Umbrella Rapid Review exploring evidence and experiences related to digitally mediated collaboration

As part of this work, we also developed the foundation for our mapping framework through the design of a Digital Readiness Model covering five key domains. This roadmap has helped structure and guide our assessment of current organization, workforce composition, use of VTBs and challenges across participating centres.

The achievement reflects a truly collaborative European effort.

A sincere thank you to all Cancer Centres (CCs) and consortium partners who contributed to the survey, supported the Systematic Rapid Review process, and shared valuable expertise and experiences throughout the mapping phase.

Thanks to the strong engagement across the consortium, we are now well positioned to move into the next phase of the work package — bringing together clinical and technical experts from across Europe for an upcoming workshop in June.
