Association Communities - A Lever for Mental Wellbeing

A new project aims to offer bridge-building to association communities for young people between 18 and 30 years old who are connected to the Local Psychiatry units and the Psychiatric Emergency Service in Odense and Svendborg.

The project, led by Social Sundhed (Social Health), is happening in strong collaboration with the Mental Health Services in the Region of Southern Denmark and the Health Innovation Centre of Southern Denmark.

- We are incredibly pleased to be part of this project, where we in the Health Innovation Centre of Southern Denmark will support implementation and method development, says Marie Harup Jensen from the Health Innovation Centre of Southern Denmark.

Specifically, in the Health Innovation Centre of Southern Denmark, we will:

  • Plan and facilitate collaboration workshops with participation from employees from the Mental Health services, as well as volunteers and staff from Social Sundhed. We will work on strengthening knowledge exchange, developing and adjusting workflows, and continuously gathering knowledge about what works in the collaboration.
  • Facilitate a reference group consisting of young people connected to Mental Health services in Odense and Svendborg. The reference group will ensure that the perspectives of young people are continuously highlighted and integrated into the development of the project and collaboration.
  • Participate in the project group and contribute with ongoing sparring.

Thank you to the VELUX FOUNDATION for their support of the project.
